David is the founding father and visionary behind The Original Dog House Inc., he has earned the nickname "The Dog Father". Three years into his early retirement after a successful career in business, he decided to live out his long time dream of working with dogs, which led to the creation of the ultimate centre for dogs'. Since the age of nine, David has been infatuated with dogs, and has always seemed to gravitate toward the German Shepherd breed. For many years he has focused his free time to the rescue of GSDs' that were labeled incorrigible and non-adoptable, yet time and time again he has proved several rescue organizations to be wrong in their assessments of the dogs he took on. David truly believes that just about all dogs can be helped and rehabilitated as long as they are handled fairly and properly by someone who understands canine behavior. Over the years his inherent talent to work with and rehabilitate difficult and/or dangerous dogs preceded him and led to having numerous friends and neighbors ask him to help them with their dog training problems or to address unwanted behaviors. The Original Dog House has given David the platform and opportunity to finally live out his passion. Since starting the company he has worked with a variety of dogs and had the privilege to meet many of their wonderful owners. To this day, David, in conjunction with The Original Dog House training team continues to rescue dogs that would otherwise be put down. When he feels comfortable that a dog has been set on the correct path and is ready to be reintegrated into society, David works hard to find the dog a new forever home. At present, David and his wife Marilyn (a teacher), are empty nesters living within the Bayview & Eglinton area of Toronto. They share their lives with their two wonderful rescued German Shepherds 'Zip' and 'Dash', who are also forever present in David's office at The Original Dog House Inc.

Chloe joined The Original Dog House Inc. during the company's early formative years.
Chloe is a true dog person who has owned and worked with dogs ever since the age of 10. Over the years this young lady has proven herself at being a top notch trainer, behaviour specialist and groomer.
During Fall 2006, Chloe decided to pursue her long life dream of becoming a veterianarian. She immediately applied to register for the science program at Guelph University and was accepted.
Presently, Chloe is into her third year of science at Guelph and we are proud to say that she is doing very well.
Yet, whenever she has some free time during holidays, weekends, etc., she will always come back to the next best place for her The Original Dog House to help out in any way that she can.

Jennifer (Jen) Calderone - Certificate in Animal Sciences.

Jen joined our team in September 2007; during her association with The Original Dog House Inc. she has proven to be an invaluable member of our team. Jen has an extensive history working with all kinds of animals, however her passion is dogs. Jen has an excellent record working for some of the leading veterinarian clinics in the city of Toronto. She has also acquired additional experience working at the Toronto Humane Society specializing in animal care & adoption. While working at Toronto Humane Society, she fostered hard to adopt dogs, in order to rehabilitate them. Ultimately, the dogs were able to be re-homed with new loving families.
Jen is also an accomplished trainer, and is presently apprenticing under Chloe to master the skills of grooming. In addition to the above, Jen has recently assumed the position of Manager for Dog Services at The Original Dog House Inc. She lives in Leaside and shares her life with her 3 dogs Ben, Ruth and Max, as well as her 4 cats.

Roselle Batalla - Certificate in Animal Sciences & Sir Sanford Fleming College, major in Fish & Wildlife.

Roselle recently joined The Original Dog House team as a dog handler. This young lady also brings with her many years of animal experience having worked at several animal clinics within the city of Toronto, as well as having volunteered at the Toronto Wildlife Centre. Roselle has an incredible ability to control dogs with her voice and body language and will command respect from the most rambunctious or challenging dogs.
Roselle's dream is to ultimately work with wild animals within a natural wildlife setting.
Roselle shares her life with her wonderful friend Clover, a large hound type dog and her cats Kurt Cobain and Axl Rose.

Jessica (Jess) U - University of Guelph B.Sc. Degree in Animal Biology (Honours Program).

Jess also recently joined our team as a dog handler. She too has an extensive background working with animals having worked at veterinarian clinics within the GTA. Jess also worked with guard dogs as a security officer, patrolling condominiums, construction sites, plazas and golf courses with her dog. Jess is a natural fit for The Original Dog House Inc.
In the very near future she will start apprenticing under Chloe to learn the skills of dog grooming, as well as to apprentice under Jen to learn the skills of obedience training. We must not forget that Jess is also a very talented computer wiz. We are pleased to welcome Jess to our team.

Megan McNabb - Greenwood College School.

Megan is our in-house 'dog angel', this young lady has become a fixture at The Original Dog House Inc. Megan has been performing her co-op studies with us since November 2006. Megan is truly a dog person, she loves every dog she meets and is always willing to offer her home to every needy dog she meets.
Megan shall graduate high school this year and plans on attending St. Lawrence College for her veterinarian assistant certificate. Recently, Megan adopted and rehabilitated a beautiful Golden Retriever called Kody. The two have become inseparable and are just about always together at The Original Dog House Inc.
We are all rooting for you.

Tonya is our 'on-call' good friend and supporter. Whenever this young lady has time on her hands, she can be found at The Original Dog House Inc. bringing lunches for our team or helping out anywhere she can. Tonya is truly our 'guardian angel'. Tonya works as a veterinary technician at one of the leading veterinarian clinics in Toronto. Tonya is Jen's best friend and is always ready to help her friend when needed.
Tonya shares her life with her best four legged buddy Toby, a real cute and willful Westie, as well as her 2 cats Mac & Duff.
