DSCF1001 300x225 Quincy Weintrop (2002 2011)Sadly we announce the recent passing of Quincy, unfortunately, even when a dog’s owner is one of the finest veterinarians in Toronto it does not guarantee that the dog will be safe from disease or other terrible conditions.

Quincy was a beautiful German Shepherd who was a regular member of our daycare and a particularly good friend of David’s German Shepherd Dash.

The entire team at The Original Dog House would like to extend their most heart felt condolences to Dr. Ruth Weintrop and her Family.

REST IN PEACEBIG BOYWE WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER

YOU WITH GREAT FONDNESS & SMILES.

Yael, Sarah, Lori, Olivia, Allissa, Luke, David & Dash.

Nugget 2 193x300 Nugget Keskikyla (2000 to 2012)

We are sad to announce the recent passing of our good friend Nugget the gentle English Setter. Over the years, Nugget would visit us on a regular basis when his family would go on their holidays. Nugget was always a very well behaved and happy boarder who enjoyed his stays with us and even more he loved meeting and interacting with our in-house pack.

The Original Dog House team would like to extend our sincerecondolences to the Keskikyla family.

Rest in peace Nugget

Luke, Yael, Sarah, Megan, Lori & David

It is with sadness and disbelief that we announce the untimely passing of Wavey.
What can we say about Wavey, she was the most perfectly imperfect ‘Portuguese Water Dog’. When we think about Wavey the words which come to mind are Comical, Mischievous, Loud and Happy, Wavey was in love with life and particularly her own.

Wavey was also a one of a kind girl who would manage to steal the hearts of all who would come to know her and if you were not careful she would also steal your lunch. As such, we can say that Doggie Heaven will certainly be shaken up with Wavey’s arrival; things will never be the same again up there.

Wavey first joined The Original Dog House in 2005 and from that time it would always be an exciting adventure for us when Wavey was around and yet now that she is no longer here she has left behind an emptiness which cannot be filled.

The entire staff at The Original Dog House wishes to extend their most sincere condolences to Wavey’s family, mainly Bonnie (Mom), Peter (Dad), Cobi & Jessy.

Rest in Peace Girl

We will always remember you with smiles on our faces.
Luke & Winston , Yael & Dana , Sarah & Sam , Megan & Kody ,

WAVEY Wavey Druxerman (2004 – 2011)
Wavey girl, you were always an exciting challenge when arriving at The Dog House, we all could hear your excited barking long before you would enter the building and I would always chuckle (to myself) when I would see the look of embarrassment on your Mom’s or Dad’s faces. I guess you just could not help being happy when you would come to visit us. However, you were also an excellent member of our pack and your comical and sweet personality endeared you to all of us.
I will miss you very much, not to mention all the wonderful little gifts your Mom would always bring in for us.
From now on you will not be in pain any more, until we meet again girl.

With love from David and your 2 good friends Dash & Loo

finn 270x300 Finn Ivey (1997 2011)

Finn Ivey

It is with great sadness we announce the recent passing of one our most wonderful friends ‘Big Finn Ivey’.

Finn was The Original Dog House’s very first client having signed up in 2004 and since then has attended our daycare program on a regular basis (it was only when the stairs at our facility became a challenge for him that he could no longer attend).

What can we say about Finn which has not been said before by all who ever met him, he was a wonderful, happy, social and extremely cleaver boy who without a doubt was a pleasure to care for.

David and his boy Dash (Finn’s good friend) and the staff at The Original Dog House would like to extend their most heart felt condolences to Alex Ivey (Finn’s Mom) for her enormous loss.

Rest in peace big boy until we meet again.

With Love

David, Dash & The Original Dog House team.

Ruby 2 218x300 Ruby Gottlieb (1999 2011)It is with great sadness that we announce the recent passing of Ruby on April 2, 2011 . Ruby was one of the sweetest, gentlest and kindest of dogs (the Chocolate Lab with the non-stop wagging tail) we ever had the privilege to care for. Unfortunately, after many brave battles with several health ailments Ruby finally passed away quietly at the VEC.

The team at The Original Dog House would like to extend its deepest heartfelt sympathies to,

Sheila and Sid Gottlieb (Dr) and their Children.

Ruby will always be remembered fondly at The Original Dog House because this wonderful girl would always bring a smile to everyone who would meet her.

Rest in Peace Girl -

You will not suffer or hurt anymore.

 With all our Love

From all of your friends at The Original Dog House

Luke, Yael, Sarah, Olivia, Allyssa & Lori

May God always watch over you Ruby, until we meet again.

Love

David & Dash

Theo 2. 300x237 Theo Naftolin (1998 2011)We must sadly announce the recent passing of Theo. Theo was a long time member of our daycare program, however as he became older and started to experience symptoms of arthritis along with other ailments he was unable to continue his attendance at The Original Dog House.

Unfortunately due to circumstance out our control we lost touch with Theo over the past couple of years, however we never forgot this great boy.

The staff at The Original Dog House joins David in extending their most sincere condolences to Pink Naftolin (Theo’s Dad).

 Rest in Peace THEO

From all your friends at The Original Dog House

charlotte 300x225 Charlotte Hunter (2004 2010)We are in state of complete shock and dismay in announcing the recent and unexpected passing of our wonderful friend Charlotte (a.k.a Charlotta, Lottie).

Charlotte , joined The Original Dog House in October 2004 (one of our very first members) as a happy, rambunctious and mischievous 9 month old puppy.

This girl was always very special, she had the incredible ability to perform numerous mischievous acts and yet she knew how to walk away without being seen and there was always someone else nearby who would take the fall for her. Eventually, we (the humans) realized that Charlotte was very smart and that we had to be a little smarter.

There is no question, Charlotte was taken away too soon from her beloved Mom & Dad (Anne & Don) not to mention her younger sister Stella.

All the staff at The Original Dog House joins David in extending our most sincere condolences to Anne & Don for the untimely loss of their wonderful Charlotte .

Rest in Peace girl, I will always remember you with a big smile on my face because you were truly one of the most wonderful dogs I have ever met.

 With Love from your Friend

David

Managing Director

The Original Dog House.

mackenzie 300x129 Mackenzie Ketta (2004 2010)

It is with great sadness we announce the recent and unexpected passing of our little friend Mackenzie.

Mackenzie joined The Original Dog House in March 2006, he was quite the little guy with a big dog personality. Both his Mom & Dad (Joanne & Gary) had encountered some behavioural problems with Mackenzie when walking him on leash and asked David for his help.

When Mackenzie was assessed, David arrived at the conclusion that there was nothing terribly wrong with the boy which could not be fixed with some safe socializing at The Original Dog House daycare program.

Within a few days, Mackenzie was interacting safely with numerous dogs and had made a place for himself within the daycare pack.

Everyone at The Original Dog House would always look forward to seeing Mackenzie arrive for his weekly attendance for the daycare program as well as his regular attendance at our grooming salon. Both Joanne & Gary always wanted Mackenzie to look his very best.

All the staff members at The Original Dog House would like to extend their most sincere condolences to Joanne & Garry for the loss of their precious and beloved Mackenzie.

Rest in Peace little boy.

You will always be in our memories and hearts.

The Original Dog House Team

Etta2 300x225 Etta – Mae Farquhar (1997 2010)

Itis with great sadness that we announce the passing of Etta-Mae on June 28, 2010.

Etta was rescued by Bobby Farquhar and Anna McGibbon when she was 2 years old from Kim Arthur DVM. Etta had been abandoned by her former owners at Dr Arthur’s clinic, fortunately Dr Arthur kept her at the clinic for almost 2 years until Bobby and Anna stepped up and adopted Etta in 2000.

Life was an exciting experience with Etta, unfortunately, from the onset she suffered with some health problems and those were exacerbated by some behavioural issues which she had developed due to a lack of early socialization with dogs while waiting to be adopted.

Fortunately, Etta struck gold insofar as to her 2 new wonderful Moms, they loved her at once and she returned every ounce of the love she received. However, in order to be proactive both Bobby and Anna immediately contacted The Original Dog House Inc. and enlisted David’s help to rehabilitate Etta from her aggressive behaviour with dogs.

Within a short time under David’s watchful eye, Etta’s self confidence started to develop and soon thereafter David integrated her into his daycare program. Etta’s rehab was a complete success; she enjoyed the company of dogs and was taught how to socialize and play safely.

Etta had a full and happy life with her family and friends, she leaves behind her Mom Anna and her 4 legged sister Tippy.

Rest in Peace girl under the watchful eye of your Mom Bobby.

You will always be in our memories and hearts.

billy1 300x148 Billy Meggeson (2004 2010)After putting up a brave battle with serious health problems, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved friend Billy on February 2, 2010.

Billy has attended The Original Dog House Inc. since December 2004 as a young exuberant puppy. This magnificent boy with the glistening coat and lively eyes was a friend to all who met him.

We, the staff at The Original Dog House Inc. would like to extend our sincere condolences to Billy’s dad Sean for the loss of his best friend.

Rest in peace Billy with all the puppies you will be meeting in heaven.

With Love forever,

The Team at The Original Dog House
