On or about January 7, 2011, David Shama of The Original Dog House in Toronto was contacted by a former client (Alex Ivey) who informed him of a beautiful 3 year old female German Shepherd (LAYLA).
Layla lived in the Montréal, Quebec area and needed help, a young girl was forced to give up Layla due to her size and needs. David was also told if no one would help Layla, she would probably end up in a shelter or at the Montréal Humane Society.
David being the passionate German Shepherd lover that he is immediately researched the situation. During a conversation with a client Mrs Rose Reisman (also a German Shepherd lover) plans for Layla’s recue began to materialize. At that point Rose’s husband, Mr Sam Reisman offered to fully subsidize Layla’s rescue.
On January 16, 2011, Mr Reisman dispatched a car and driver to bring Layla to us in Toronto. After a short period of rehabilitation and lots of TLC, David & Luke found Layla a perfectly wonderful for ever home. The Original Dog House Team would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge and thank Mr. & Mrs. Sam Reisman of Toronto for their kindness and generosity.
