The Heart Warming Story of the Rescue of Beautiful Sweet Layla

On or about Jan­u­ary 7, 2011, David Shama of The Orig­i­nal Dog House in Toronto was con­tacted by a for­mer client (Alex Ivey) who informed him of a beau­ti­ful 3 year old female Ger­man Shep­herd (LAYLA).

Layla lived in the Mon­tréal, Que­bec area and needed help, a young girl was forced to give up Layla due to her size and needs. David was also told if no one would help Layla, she would prob­a­bly end up in a shel­ter or at the Mon­tréal Humane Society.

David being the pas­sion­ate Ger­man Shep­herd lover that he is imme­di­ately researched the sit­u­a­tion. Dur­ing a con­ver­sa­tion with a client Mrs Rose Reis­man (also a Ger­man Shep­herd lover) plans for Layla’s recue began to mate­ri­al­ize. At that point Rose’s hus­band, Mr Sam Reis­man offered to fully sub­si­dize Layla’s rescue.

On Jan­u­ary 16, 2011, Mr Reis­man dis­patched a car and dri­ver to bring Layla to us in Toronto. After a short period of reha­bil­i­ta­tion and lots of TLC, David & Luke found Layla a per­fectly won­der­ful for ever home. The Orig­i­nal Dog House Team would like to take this oppor­tu­nity to acknowl­edge and thank Mr. & Mrs. Sam Reis­man of Toronto for their kind­ness and generosity.
