There is a new feeling of joy and excitement around your home, and every time you think about it or look at it, you smile. The new additon in your life, family and home has a soft fur coat, smells like a new born baby, wags its tail, it has a little wet nose and big inquistive eyes that almost speak to you. It's a Puppy!
Regardless of the size or breed of your Puppy, it will need training to help fit nicely into your lifestyle, family and environment. Proper training for good manners will unquestionably cement a lifetime companionship between you. When training a Puppy you must be fair and very patient if you move too quickly or slowly without the proper understanding of the limitations of your Puppy in the different stages of its early life, you may in fact confuse it and inadvertently set it back.

We at The Original Dog House have put together a Puppy Pre-School to help you learn how best to deal with your new Puppy in a step by step program comprised of 6 one-hour sessions. We will teach you how to start basic obedience training, how to deal with and stop unwanted behaviors, how to puppy-proof your home, the equipment you will require, how to select a veterinarian, proper nutrition, grooming techniques, and much more. We will also show you how to communicate and understand your Puppy's body language and overall general needs.

Between 8 to 16 weeks is considered to be a critical period in a puppy's life. This is when it needs to start training as well as to be introduced to the outside world, people and other dogs. We at The Original Dog House will help you set your puppy on the road to success.

During these classes, we explain and instruct new owners on what having a new puppy in their home is all about, how to raise it, care for it and train it. We also make owners aware of the fact that having a puppy in their home will change their environment and alter their lifestyle to some degree.
